Markham, Ontario • Backyard Interlocking
A Backyard That Grew with the Family
The Homeowner’s Challenge
As the homeowners’ children got older, the backyard needed to become more useful for everyday family life. Most of the space was lawn, which limited where the family could place outdoor furniture, barbecue, and gather comfortably after rain.
Our Recommendation
We recommended keeping part of the lawn while creating a larger interlocking patio for dining, seating, and family activities. The layout was planned to make the space feel open, easy to maintain, and practical for both adults and children.
What We Built
- Excavation and disposal
- Base preparation and compaction
- Interlocking installation
- Edge restraint and polymeric sand
- Final grading and cleanup
The Result
The finished patio gave the family a clean outdoor living area with room for meals, entertaining, and everyday play while still preserving green space around the yard.

Richmond Hill, Ontario • Front Entrance
Making the Front Entrance Safer for the Years Ahead
The Homeowner’s Challenge
The homeowners wanted a front entrance that looked cleaner and was easier to use. The previous steps and walkway felt dated and less comfortable, especially during winter conditions.
Our Recommendation
We recommended wider, consistent steps with a durable stone finish and a smoother interlocking walkway connection to the driveway. Grading and drainage around the entrance were also considered.
The Result
The upgraded entrance created a more comfortable walking path, improved the overall appearance of the front of the home, and made the approach to the door feel more finished.
Toronto GTA • Driveway Interlocking
A New Driveway Before the “For Sale” Sign Went Up
The Homeowner’s Challenge
Before listing the property, the homeowners wanted the exterior to make a stronger first impression. The old driveway looked worn and did not match the condition of the rest of the home.
What We Built
We recommended a new interlocking driveway with a deeper vehicle-grade base, a clean border treatment, and neutral stone colours that complemented the house instead of competing with it.
The Result
The new driveway gave the property a cleaner, more updated appearance and improved curb appeal for listing photos and showings. We describe this as a presentation improvement rather than a guaranteed increase in selling price.
